KOYOTempura, sukiyaki and sushi, served behind shoji screens on 3300 South.
One family. One address.
Since 1976.
Koyo has been family owned and operated on the east side of Salt Lake City for fifty years.
The rooms are pine and paper: sliding shoji, knotted wood, low lantern light. The menu runs from tempura, sukiyaki and teriyaki to udon, donburi and sushi rolls, with lunch sets on weekdays and full dinners six nights a week.

紅葉 · こうようAutumn leaves.
Kōyō is the Japanese word for leaves turning red in the fall. It hangs in brushed calligraphy on our wall, and it's the maple leaf in our logo.
Dinner behind shoji.
Sliding paper screens divide the restaurant into small, quiet rooms.
Some are set with floor cushions in the traditional zashiki style; others with tables and chairs. A long table room seats larger parties. It's the kind of place where you can hear the person across from you.
